Yokohama Scenery
This is Yokohama scenery made as an illustrated scenery of which painted based on the position at the map.
In FS98 version, the coordinates are fixed for LAGO Tokyo scenery for using with LAGO's one. (It is able to be used with Microsoft original scenery too.) This scenery has higher resolution than LAGO Tokyo scenery, and has an expression of the city lights in the night. Further, visibility of the roads or railways is higher.
Seasonal effect is supported in Yokohama scenery 2000 (for FS2000). Yokohama scenery 2000 is also able to be used in the both of Microsoft original scenery and LAGO Tokyo scenery. If you use LAGO one, FS2000 LAGO-Tokyo enabler should be installed.
In Yokohama scenery 2002 (for FS2002), the method of direct texture attachment to the ground of Terrain mesh scenery using resample.exe of Terrain SDK, which is enabled by TerraBuilder ver1.97.07 is adopted. Further, the trees are generated by Autogen function of FS2002 on the attached textures. This trees can express cherry blossom and autumn color of leaves by Cherry blossom texture 2002.
Autogen updater for Yokohama scenery 2002 ver 0.5 is an updater for above Yokohama scenery 2002, to generate Autogen buildings and trees using Autogen SDK released from Microsoft. It is very easy to make rather than forcibly making trees not using SDK, but the tree density is higher in my original one. And the software annotator.exe is somewhat buggy, it freezes with OS after treating a little bit. This may be typical Microsoft-standard. Further, it is maybe an error in FS2002 side; it seems that the original making texture which is selected by annotator is not recognized by FS2002. The trees made in this time also can express cherry blossom and autumn color of leaves by Cherry blossom texture 2002, and the buildings made in this time can express my original Autogen buildings which is made like Japanese Metropolis area buildings by Autogen building texture.
In FS2004, Yokohama scenery 2002 and Autogen updater for Yokohama scenery 2002 for FS2002 can be used with no change. But flight files cannot be used. Please go there manually. |
Yokohama Scenery (for FS98) ver 0.5
If you use this scenery with Tokyo transportation scenery, a display of these sceneries is possible only for FS98(English version) with FS98converter (I call it FS98+.), because of a limitation of the number of the objects from a characteristic of FS.
(I hear that FS98(J) can handle it without any conversion. )
In this time, I make the western part of Midori-ku and the western part of Aoba-ku of Yokohama city.
Kiriga-oka park, Nagatsuta station of JR Yokohama line and Tokyu Den-en-Toshi line, Toka-ichiba station of Yokohama line, Aoba-dai and Tana stations of Den-en-Toshi line, whole of Kodomono-kuni line and Kodomono-kuni park are newly described. At last, the northern part of Yokohama city is completed.
Comparison whole view of Yokohama scenery(ver0.3) with LAGO Tokyo scenery.
The center part is Yokohama scenery, the upper side is aerial texture part of LAGO Tokyo,
and the lower is satellite texture part of LAGO Tokyo.
This scenery has higher resolution than aerial texture part of LAGO Tokyo, and
the edges are connected smoothly.
Newly completed in this time, Nagatsuta station of JR Yokohama line and
Tokyu Den-en-Toshi line and vicinity. Bottom is Nagatsuta station,
bottom left edge is Nagatsuta switch-yard, the river flows the center is
Onda river, Tana and Aoba-dai stations of Den-en-Toshi line directed to
upper right direction respectively, and Onda station planed to be opened
on the spring of year 2000 of Kodomono-kuni line directed to upper left
exists earlier than real scene. The broad road at right edge is Route 246.

At last, the northern part of Yokohama city is completed.

Yokohama Scenery 2000 ver 0.5

This is the Yokohama scenery for FS2000. I express not only night light but also
seasonal effect.
This scenery is also able to be used in the both of Microsoft original scenery and LAGO Tokyo scenery. If you use LAGO one,
FS2000 LAGO-Tokyo enabler should be installed.
The area contained in this scenery is the same as FS98 version. It is a whole of the northern part of Yokohama city. It takes a long time for making in this time. First, I change assembler from SceneryMAKER to SCASM, and whole source code is re-written. Next, whole textures are changed. Further, I make another textures for the night effect and more textures for the seasonal effect. At last, the quantity of textures is five times than before ! .... I'm tired a little ??
These photos are spring, summer, fall, and winter scene respectively
(The location is the vicinity of Yokohama-Aoba IC of Tomei express way.).
In spite of not easy to watch this because it is so small, full blossom of
cherry flowers in spring. (It is typical Japanese scene in spring.)
Too full blossom maybe. The same picture as FS98 version in summer.
Fallen leaves in fall. In winter, this is a scene that the snow melts away on
the road after snow falls. (You can see Microsoft original scenery also changes
by seasonal effect at the right upper edge of these photos.)

Yokohama Scenery 2002 ver 0.5

This is the Yokohama scenery 2002 for FS2002. I adopt
the method of direct texture attachment to the ground of Terrain mesh scenery using resample.exe of Terrain SDK, which is enabled by TerraBuilder ver1.97.07. Further, I make
the trees generated by Autogen function of FS2002 on the attached textures. This trees can express cherry blossom and autumn color of leaves by
Cherry blossom texture 2002.
The night light and seasonal effect are the same of FS2000 version. The original pictures of the textures are the same.
The area contained in this scenery is a little bit less than FS2000 version, lacking east edge. This scenery expresses almost from Shin-Yokohama to Nagatsuta stations of Yokohama-line vicinity area. In this FS2002 version, I do not adopt the method of shifting the position by distorting scenery blocks little by little to adapting Atsugi and Chofu of LAGO's scenery which is written in
"Making of Yokohama scenery" column. Further, a position adjustment to an absolute position is difficult. This is the subject for the future.
Whole view. Because of not the same position to FS2000 version,
the east edge is lacked and no texture exists at some area. This is
because the method of making is completely different than before.
The positions of Dai-San-Keihin highway, Route 246, and Tomei
Expressway are roughly adjusted to a Microsoft default scenery.

Smoothly connected. You can see cherry blossoms because
it's spring. (In case of using "Cherry blossom texture 2002".)
Summer scene of Nagatsuta station of Yokohama-line, Route 246,
and Tomei Expressway area. There is no reason why Autogen trees
are generated only in this area. It's simple reason, I'm tired.........
Autumn scene at the same place. Colored leaves.
(In case of using "Cherry blossom texture 2002".)
Close view of Tsurumi-river basin. It's not easy to distinguish.
But the ground is waving slightly. This is because of influence
of slight up and down on the ground for detail expression of
Atatan's All Japan Terrain Scenery Detail Version I use in this
photo. Like that, the scenery made by this method seems to be
displayed its ability with Terrain Scenery Detail Version. But
in this photo, the position of the river is not depressed.
It is subject to adjust absolute position.

Autogen updater for Yokohama scenery 2002 ver 0.5 is an updater for above Yokohama scenery 2002, to generate Autogen buildings and trees using Autogen SDK released from Microsoft. It is very easy to make rather than forcibly making trees not using SDK, but the tree density is higher in my original one. Minami-Nagatsuta Danchi, Yokohama Den-en-toshi Hospital, Morimura school, and
Nagatsuta elementary school in the spring. The road in this side is Route 246,
the right is the direction for Shibuya. Hospital and schools are so-so good, but
apartment buildings are too short height if I make it in a correct scale.
It seems that too small area of the buildings makes too short height.
Americans do not think typical Japanese "pencil building" maybe.
Toka-ichiba houses, and Toka-ichiba station in the summer. You can see
from left to right; JR Yokohama line, Tomei Express Way, and Tsurumi river
respectively. Toka-ichiba station of JR line is on the right. In this area,
I make apartment buildings in deformed large scale. Therefore, the number
of the buildings is decreased, and the height is expressed so-so good.
Fuji-ga-oka and Aoba-dai stations of Tokyu Den-en-toshi line, and
route 246 in the summer. This side is Fuji-ga-oka and back side is
Aoba-dai, and this side is the direction for Shibuya on route 246.
The park in the center is Fuji-ga-oka park. It seems that the
buildings are built along the station and the road somehow.
Loop road 4 and Wakaba-dai Danchi on the evening in the autumn.
The right edge is Tomei Express Way, the right side road is Loop
road 4 in which is the direction for Aoba-dai in this side, and
the park in the center is Kiri-ga-oka park. If the time passes more,
you can see beautiful night view, but you cannot see the color of leaves;
it's delicate. About this photo, the real number of the buildings is large too.
